Solar Electrical Apprentice

An opportunity has become available to join the Deege Solar Team. On offer is the chance to work in an upcoming sector where you be offered all the necessary support to do your job to best of your ability. As an apprentice, you will learn and grow with the company. Learning how to prepare electrical installations and ensure they are safe and fit for purpose in compliance with BS7671 18th edition of the wiring regulations.
Short Term Success
- Aware of all company policies and standard operating procedures relevant to tasks
- Establish relationships with colleagues.
- Attend college to study for qualifications.
Long Term Success
- Good working knowledge of the electrical / solar product range.
- Complete apprenticeship and gain relevant qualifications.
Role and Responsibilities
Working towards becoming a qualified Electrician where you could have overall responsibility for ensuring that all electrical installations are safe and fit for purpose in compliance with BS7671 18th edition of the wiring regulations.
- Installation/Alteration/Modification in new and installations.
- Inspection, Testing and Certification with BS7671 18th edition wiring regulations.
- Reporting to an approved Electrician, and the Electrical Manager.
Knowledge and skills are important and the training is demanding.
The Ideal Candidate
- High level of drive, energy and initiative; entrepreneurial, proactive, focused, tenacious and committed, with high standards and achievement orientation.
- Good team player.
- Strong work ethic; self starter; results orientated.
- Good ability to plan and anticipate.
- Good communication and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work in an operational/functional matrix organisation.
- Must be methodical and organised, and work to high quality standards both as part of a team, and when working individually.
